Manage libraries

Libraries let you capitalize on and reuse your reference data between projects. Instead of recreating the same risk sources, stakeholders, measures or components for every study, you save them once in the library and import them in a few clicks.

Families and sources

Libraries are grouped into families (ebios, iec62443, risquesindustriels, referentiels, abe). The source is chosen per family, not library by library, in Backup & Sharing.

SourceContent
DefaultLibraries built into the application, no synchronization
Personal libraryYour libraries on the server, shared across all your projects
Group libraryShared libraries from a group you belong to
Private serverEncrypted local cache, shared between authorized users of the instance

Reserved to the project owner

Only the owner sets the source. A collaborator receives the copy through the project's normal synchronization.

The copy in the project is frozen

When a project is opened, the library from the chosen source is copied into the project. A later change on the server side does not propagate to projects that have already copied it.

This is deliberate: an analysis must remain identically reproducible, years later.

Import into a project

From any analysis page, click the 📚 Library button (or the label shown on that page) to open the import panel:

  1. Filter by category or search by name
  2. Check the items to import
  3. Click Import selection

The imported items are copied into the current project — any later change in the project does not affect the original library.

Reuse your libraries elsewhere

One single path: the pack

There is no save button on the library pages. To reuse your libraries in other projects or share them with a group, save them as a pack from Backup & Sharing.

The pack captures the libraries currently used by the project, by family, in a dated version. It can be updated, duplicated, published to a group, and restored from its version history — see Library packs.

Edit a library

Editing must be allowed for the project: the "Allow library editing" switch in Backup & Sharing. Changes only affect the project's copy, and are saved automatically.

Libraries page (accessible from the menu)

The dedicated Libraries page lets you manage libraries outside of any project:

  • Create, edit, delete entries
  • Import external libraries (JSON format)
  • Export a library to JSON for sharing or backup
  • Merge libraries

Industrial Risks libraries

The Industrial Risks libraries are on page 12 — Libraries of the Industrial Risks module. They are specific to each type of analysis:

PHA hazards

Catalog organized by family: mechanical, thermal, chemical, electrical, pressure, radiation, ergonomic, environmental. Each entry contains a standardized label and a description. Import them via the 📚 Hazard library button on the PHA page.

FMEA components

Common industrial equipment with their type and standard description. Import them via 📚 From library on the Modeling page (Components tab).

HAZOP deviations

Typical nodes and predefined keyword/parameter associations. Import them on the HAZOP page.

LOPA IPL

Catalog of typical IPLs with their characteristic PFD:

IPL typeTypical PFD
SIS SIL 10.1
SIS SIL 20.01
SIS SIL 30.001
Safety relief valve0.01
Manual isolation valve0.1
Operator procedure (BPCS)0.1
Containment bund0.01

Import them from the 📋 Library button on the LOPA page.
