5.4 — Residual risks
Page /ebios/risquesresiduels — compares the raw risk (before treatment) with the residual risk (after applying the measures defined in the PACD), for each risk in the summary.
Header
Statistics shown: number of risks, number of measures.
Tabs
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Risk matrices | Two Severity × Likelihood matrices side by side: raw and residual |
| Summary by risk | Detailed raw / residual / measures list for each risk |
Risk matrices tab
Two matrices are displayed side by side, linked by a → After treatment arrow:
- Raw risk — initial positioning of each risk (carried over from Workshop 4)
- Residual risk — positioning after re-rating following treatment measures
Each risk can be dragged and dropped from one cell to another in either matrix to manually adjust its positioning. Risks not yet placed in the residual matrix appear in a To place pool below the matrix.
Summary by risk tab
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| # | Risk number |
| Risk | Label |
| Associated FE | Related feared event, with its severity |
| Raw risk | Likelihood/Severity pair and risk level before treatment |
| → | Improvement arrow (symbol indicating whether the risk has decreased, stayed the same, or worsened) |
| Residual risk | Likelihood/Severity pair and risk level after treatment — shows Not rated if re-rating has not been done yet |
| Treatment | Type of treatment applied (carried over from page 5.2) |
| Measures | Associated measures (carried over from the PACD) |
Re-rate after each significant measure
A risk showing Not rated as residual means the likelihood has not yet been reassessed after measures. Re-rate it as soon as the main PACD measures are defined, to get a reliable view of the improvement achieved.
Residual risk to be accepted
Once the measures are applied, the residual risk must be formally accepted by the project or organisation owner — this is the last validation step of Workshop 5 before the final report.
Next step
Once residual risks are validated, generate the EBIOS RM Report to formalise the whole study.
